Dear SparkNJ participants and fellow entrepreneurs, 

          It’s our distinct pleasure to invite you to the first ever SparkNJ Entrepreneurship Conference this fall. It will be held on September 3, 2023 in the Princeton Adult Day Care in Dayton, NJ. This conference is open to all NJ students, grades 9-12, to pitch business ideas of their own to an esteemed panel of judges. Students will prepare a five-minute pitch with a Google Slides or PowerPoint presentation to accompany their verbal presentation. The conference will also have multiple workshops during which accomplished entrepreneurs will speak upon their experience and give insight to the younger generation of entrepreneurs. For the top three pitches selected by our judges, we will give out monetary prizes and provide dedicated mentorship to the winners.  

          Before the conference, we urge all participants to utilize the materials provided by the SparkNJ leadership team on this website. The judging rubric is the most effective resource, including key entrepreneurship concepts from the Blue Ocean Strategy and SAGE Global Competition. Soon, we will upload more comprehensive training materials on the Preparation page of our website, such as example pitches and diagram templates to guide participants in the creation of their presentations. We’ll also post training videos on our YouTube channel, and we highly recommend all participants to make use of that content.           Above all, we aim to create a platform for young entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into thriving and sustainable businesses through the support of our experienced mentors and extensive preparation material. We can’t wait to see you all in September!
